V is for Villains

V is for Villains is a new breed of entertainment. Mixing the visual styles of Steampunk, Carnival and Noir, with the musical taste of Nine Inch Nails, Prodigy, and your favorite film score; V is for Villains will take you on a journey through the imagination that your mother couldn't prepare you for. Most groups often say that they intend for "world domination"... V is for Villains might actually mean it....

Samurai Dan

Samurai Dan & Lady Jillian

Samurai Dan and his wife, the beautiful Lady Jillian (also attending), are full-time martial arts instructors, specializing in 16th century Samurai arts. When not teaching at their dojo, the Kojokan, they travel across the country performing and teaching the ancient ways of the most famous warriors in history. Their shows and demonstrations uniquely blend history, combative skill, and humor, in a way that will both educate and entertain audiences both large and small. The dynamic duo also collaborated to write, direct, host, and star in a 12 episode TV series entitled "The Way of the Samurai," and Daniel is also an author with several martial arts articles published, and he is currently working on his second full-length novel.

Cascade Nightmare

Cascade Nightmare is a power metal band from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. When they aren't working on creating new songs they like to learn anime theme songs to fill their time and entertain the masses. The band started in 2010 by lead guitarist, Sebastian Foreman, with Mike Stuefen on bass, and Rachael Lee as the lead singer. You saw us at Anime-SPARK! and we hope you are excited to see us at ZAP!

The epic group Party Monster includes an Illinois based DJ and producer duo that plays all things EDM. They rock it from big shows to big house parties with drumstep, electro, Dubstep, moombahton, moombahcore,house, dnb, ect.

DJ Oso

DJ 0s0

Marcos Ramos aka Dj 0s0 is from Chicago. His first love for music was playing the drums, and he got into anime when he was 15, and his first convention was ACen 2010. He started to DJ shortly after that at house parties and any family event that would let him. He played his first live show at Medusa Night club in Elgin, IL. After that he was offered the chance to DJ at Anime Midwest 2011, and he has been playing anime conventions ever since, including ZAP, SPARK, Anime Minneapolis, Anime Midwest, and Meta Con, doing it for the love of the music and the fans.

Flash back two years ago and we see Ethan playing his first live show. Go two years further and we see the seed of music being planted. With nothing more than a friends PC and a pair of.. not so decent headphones, small sound projects began to form. As time passed, knowledge and equipment were gained! Now we hear Ethan or, Lucid Beats, playing bangers from all over the world. Genres reaching from Electro House and Dirty Dutch to Trap and what ever else gets that floor jumping! You can catch Lucid playing throughout the Midwest at the clubs, house parties, any kind of special events including Video game releases and the occasional Anime convention. Also watch out for a new EP to be released early 2013!

Hailing from Chicago, lifelong musical enthusiast DJ Kagamine is proud to be providing some serious beats for wherever he is playing. Prepare for the entrancing and sometimes chilling "feels" as he provides catchy and energetic tracks, ranging from various genres including House, Hardcore, and everything in between. Both inspired and inspiring, DJ Kagamine personally hopes to see all of you on your feet as he drops the beat until the night ends, and leave you frothing for more! With DJing Under his belt, he is also Fanservice Renji's Live DJ.

FanService Renji pursued his dream career in audio and entertainment Renji attending and graduating from Full Sail University with a degree in Recording Arts. After a short stay for college in Orlando, FL he returned home back to Michigan to co-found an independent record label, Northern Exposure Records (NER). Being a nerd at heart, Cosplay quickly became a new love in his life. Not wanting to live in two separate worlds, Renji shifted his entertainment focus on the the Anime/Otaku world. Now he is a performer at various anime conventions across the U.S.

Anime-ZAP! doesn't traditionally rely on famous voice actors and performances to make our convention come alive. Instead of spending thousands on travel, we work with some of the best local professionals to put on a grand show, some of whom perform worldwide. We also focus on our great hall of exhibitors, tons of cosplay events and panels, making friends, and having fun!
